Hampsfell House Hotel is set in the picturesque town of Grange-Over-Sands; it is a
delightful country house hotel set in two acres of woodland perfect for anyone. Although we can't guarantee a white Christmas you can be assured of a relaxing and very traditional Christmas holiday.
Below is the itinerary of events for this Christmas & New Year encompassing champagne receptions, mulled wine, midnight mass, and of course the all important 5 course Christmas Lunch.
Program of events Saturday 23rd of December
Arrive at your leisure and make an early and relaxed start to your holiday, why not take time to sit in one of our lounges by a roaring log fire and enjoy afternoon tea. Or perhaps do a spot of last minute shopping in Grange or Cartmel. Dinner this evening is served in the Main dinning room from 7pm until 8.30pm.
Christmas Eve Sunday 24th of December
Unless you have decided to escape the Christmas traffic and arrive a day early this will be
the start of your festive holiday. Arrive at your leisure to experience the Lake districts warmest welcome. After settling in to your bedroom why not take afternoon tea in one of
our lounges.
The evening starts at 6.30pm with a Champagne and canape reception, where you will have the opportunity to meet your hosts as well as friends old and new. A Sumptuous Five
course Dinner is served in the main dining room from 7.15pm.
Midnight service is held at Cartmel Priory (transport can be arranged) Mulled wine and mince pies shall be available on your return.
Christmas Day Monday 25th of December
A very merry Christmas day shall begin with a traditional Cumbrian breakfast served in our dining room, from 8.30am until 9.45am
Choose from the excitement of opening Christmas gifts with loved ones or don those boots for a hike up Hampsfell, where magnificent views of the valleys and coastline await you.
(Flask's of Coffee or Mulled wine available from reception), A buffet lunch shall be served in the Lounge overlooking the garden from 12.30pm The remainder of the afternoon is left for you to relax and unwind; if you are feeling
peckish there is fruit, figs, nuts and Christmas cake available.
A traditional 5-course dinner shall be served in the dinning room from 7pm.
The evening is relaxed and informal.
Boxing Day Tuesday 26th of December
A traditional Cumbrian breakfast is served from 8.30am -9.45am, why not explore the surrounding woodland this morning or take a stroll into Grange, a light buffet lunch shall be served in the Lounge Your main meal shall be served from 7pm
Wednesday 27th of December
After another sumptuous breakfast, the team at Hampsfell House Hotel bid you farewell and best wishes for the New Year. We look forward to welcoming you back in the New Year.
Alternatively you could stay extra nights at a very special rate of £50 bed and breakfast For £70 with evening meal

New Year
A Three-day New Years Eve celebration at Hampsfell House Hotel
Saturday 30th December
Unless you decided to extend your new years break by arriving earlier, today will be the first day of your break. Arrive at your leisure to experience the Lake Districts warmest welcome, after settling in to your room why not join us for Afternoon tea in one of the lounges you shall be met by a roaring log fire alternatively we can serve you in your room.
Suitably refreshed, join your hosts and your fellow guests in the bar for a pre dinner drink. A Five-course candlelit dinner shall be served in the dining room from 7pm.
New years Eve Sunday 31st of December
Enjoy your last Cumbrian breakfast of 2006, this day is free for you to discover or re-visit the many delights that the Lake district has to offer, or why not take a winter cruise on Lake Windermere. However you spend the day return to the hotel in time for afternoon tea and to prepare for this evenings festivity.
Dress is formal this evening black tie is preferred but not compulsory. Champagne and Canapes will be served in the bar from 7.00pm and a candlelit dinner will be served from 8pm in the dining room.
After dinner, join our hosts for midnight celebrations and singing Auld Lang syne followed by Mulled wine and Mince pies.
Relax and enjoy a peaceful first day of 2007 at Hampsfell House Hotel Breakfast will once again be served in the dining room until 9.45am

Once again the day is yours to relax and enjoy .Dinner is served from 7pm
Tuesday 2nd of January 2007
After Breakfast we wish you a fond farewell a happy and prosperous 2007 and we look forward to seeing you again later in the year.
